Last night we attended the fantastic Mansfield Sports Recognition Awards 2024 at Mansfield Civic Quarter in Nottinghamshire
It was about the taking part, being nominated and being recognised, we certainly did…. and enjoyed every minute of the lovely evening.
A great citation on Mark’s fantastic achievements during the 2024 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship was given with short video clips of him in action during the evening as well. Many of the audience were surprised to see what support the prestigious championship gets.
We gave it our best, it’s not just about winning, Mark was joint runner up with ice skater Callum Mills.
Sportsperson of the Year 2024 was scooped by Charlotte Henshaw MBE, Mansfield’s two times Paris 2024 Paralympic Gold Medalist, World Champion and British Paralympic full-time athlete in paracanoeing…..
Congratulations Charlotte very well deserved.
And to all the various nominees and award winners. We all did Mansfield and Nottinghamshire proud…..
Afterwards Mark said ” I’m absolutely delighted to have been nominated for the award for a second year running, its all about taking part and supporting the local sports community and all being identified as local sports athletes and achievers, well done to Charlotte on getting the title and I’m looking forward to the 2025 season”.
Thank you to Mansfield Rotary Club, Armchair Club, Mansfield News Journal and all the award sponsors for a great evening……
